First off, welcome to my new blog home! For those of you that don’t know, I use to be located at style-love.blogpost.com and I decided that it was time for the switch and to get my own domain. I even threw a launch party this past week and it was a lot of fun! I will be posting photos and chatting about my launch party in a future post, so stay tuned.
Between the launch of my new blog and planning the party it was a busy few weeks for me. If you follow me on instagram and twitter, you may have noticed that I was also in Toronto and attended World Master Card Fashion week. It was my first time attending and I had no idea what to expect! It sure was a lot of fun and I met some great locals. Not to mention, all the designers are Canadian which is fantastic! Like I mentioned in my previous post, dressing for fashion week can be a bit stressful. Not to mention dressing for what I expected to be cold weather (but then it ended up being warm) was very challenging. I wore so many warm layers on the first day of the shows that I literally could feel the sweat dripping down my back! A tip for dressing for the east coast for all the west coasters, always prepare for anything!
As for the shows, the first day started off with the designer Mikhael Kale. His collection consisted of designs with amazing details such as pearls, florals and sequins. From low necklines to interesting cut outs, I loved his unique collection, amazing details on each piece, laid back street wear to the beautiful designs on the knee high socks! Preloved was such a mix of fun, flirty with bright colors and 70s inspired looks. Matthew Gallagher was one of my favorites! From the sequins, the soft tone colors, to the draping, his collection is elegant and a twist on some modern pieces. The first night of shows ended with Sid Neigum. I loved how his collection is very wearable and the minimalist looks of each of the pieces to the all one color palette looks.
Stay tuned for more of my WMCFW coverage as well as a post on my launch party! Happy Friday friends!
